Water Lane is an historic walled garden, dating back to its productive heyday in the Edwardian era. The one-and-three-quarter-acre site includes the original glasshouses and a cutting garden with over 70 beds.
Alongside the Melon House a new border, created in collaboration with multiple RHS Chelsea Gold Medal award-winning designer Jo Thompson, is a prominent and bountiful feature, while on the periphery are espaliered fruit trees.
As we nurture the garden into the next phase of its horticultural existence, our hope is to make a place of beauty that is also productive and purposeful, whilst offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy the garden on special occasions.
