Introducing Digging Deeper at Water Lane, a series of full day practical hands-on workshops, which allows participants to look in more detail at the many important elements of gardening.
In this propagation workshop we will look at seed propagation - looking at seed sowing both inside and out, and vegetative propagation - how to take cuttings throughout the year as well as propagation by division.
This workshop will compromise of a mixture of tutorials and demonstrations with hands-on practical experience, enabling you to be able to take these enhanced skills to implement them in your own gardens.
This all-day session will run from 10am- 3.30pm, with morning refreshments and a light lunch. It is intended for new gardeners and those who are keen to find out more about this interesting subject. Please bring a sharp secateurs or snips, gloves and suitable clothes. All attendees will have a pot of cuttings to take home.
The price of this in-depth learning experience is £95 and can be booked on the Water Lane website. With only 12 place available on the workshop this ensures that attendees are provided with personal guidance in this rewarding topic.
The sessions will be led by Jenny Huddart, Head Gardener and Julia Burton, Senior Gardener who look after the garden here at Water Lane. Jenny has previously worked in the gardens at Sissinghurst, The Small Holding and Sarah Raven's Perch Hill.
