Join Amy from Jam Jar Edit for a morning or afternoon of flower pressing. After a quick tour of the Water Lane cutting garden and harvesting some flowers to use in the workshop, Amy will demonstrate the art of flower pressing, including how to select and prepare your flowers through the seasons, illustrating contemporary examples.

With her guidance, you will choose a variety of flowers to press in your flower press which is yours to keep at the end of the workshop. You will also work with pre-pressed flowers which will have been pressed for you. You'll be guided through techniques for mounting and framing your pressed flowers, and there will be a variety of handmade papers and materials for making pressed flower artwork, all yours to keep. 

All flowers and equipment included plus tea, coffee and biscuits. 

JamJar Edit is the sister company to floral design studio JamJar Flowers. Both studios are based in Peacock Yard – a charming Dickensian craft makers yard in South London. Co-founders Melissa Alexander and Amy Fielding launched the Edit in 2017, later joined by artist India Cooper.
