Designed for beginners, or those wanting to refresh their skills, this special experience of gentle focused learning in a beautiful setting will certainly ensure an enjoyable day. The resulting support will be both elegant and robust.

The end structure will be in the region of 6ft. So please allow for this when taking it home.

During the day tea and coffee will be provided and a light lunch in the restaurant is included.

About Dominic

Dominic is a Sussex-based basketmaker, willow grower and teacher specialising in traditional frame baskets, organically woven willow forms and beautiful, strong plant supports.

He sources willow, sweet chestnut, and hazel from local coppice and is committed to sustainable woodland management. Dominic makes woven products for small gardens and allotments as well as taking on commissions for clients such as garden and interior designers and larger organisations such as The National Trust and Kew at Wakehurst.

Dominic is a member of the Basketmakers Association and the Heritage Crafts Association.

"My basketry is grounded in traditional British and European techniques which create beauty in form and function.

I take inspiration from the landscape in which I work and it is important to me that what I do is connected to the rhythm of the seasons and in harmony with the ecology of the natural environment.

The process of growing, harvesting and creating is one of nourishment to me. I hope that my love of the natural world comes out in some small way in my baskets. "
