Nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the High Weald of Kent on the East Sussex Border, Water Lane is a
working flower farm set within a beautiful walled garden and a collection of
charming historic glasshouses — the perfect backdrop for weddings, private
events, and special celebrations. Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony,
a relaxed garden party, or a larger joyful gathering with friends and family,
our unique setting and thoughtful approach make every occasion feel personal
and unforgettable.

The garden has two main areas to host a celebration lunch or supper: The Carnation House and The Garden Terrace. There are other locations within the garden to hold a reception, ceremony or blessing. Let the beauty of nature, seasonal food, and warm
hospitality shape your day here at Water Lane. We pride ourselves on offering a
relaxed and informal approach to your special occasion.

In the warmer months the garden can hold up to 120 guests serving lunch or supper on the Garden Terrace or up to 50 in our Victorian glasshouse, all year round. We can offer the entire garden for exclusive hire for you to create your own wedding and we have an excellent list of trusted suppliers that we are happy to share with you. Alternatively, we can introduce you to an event planning service that will work with you to deliver a bespoke package for you here at Water Lane.
