On Thursday 11th June we are hosting The Home Grown Market here at Water Lane.
It's a market to celebrate British grown seasonal flowers and the flower farmers who grow them. The very first Home Grown Market was held in the May 2025 in West Sussex and we're delighted to be hosting Kent's own Home Grown Market over the coming summer months.
The market, created by Laura Fisher of 'Wild Willow Flowers,' offers a vibrant alternative to imported flowers, by championing locally grown flowers, cut the day before the market, making them the freshest flowers you can buy.
The market will be held monthly on the following dates: 11th June, 9th July, 6th August and 3rd September. The market is open to all and tickets can be purchased in advance here via EventBrite. Tickets cost £10 for Early Pickers from 9am and £5 for general admission from 10am. EventBrite booking fees apply.
On the 11th June, you can expect Kent & Sussex Growers including:
Dusky Slug Flowers, Chalk Farm Flowers, The Flower Garden Hartfield, Grow and Wild Flower Farm, Thistle Cottage Flower Farm, Nate Moss, Blue Hen Flowers.
Fallow Made for dried flowers.
Seeds from Jasmyn Fraser Art.
Botanical Artists Incey Wincey Studio, Anna Clement, Yellow Minnow Sketch.
Bohemia & Flower.
Willow plant supports handmade by Crafty Basketry.
Creative Resource will be here selling vintage pots, bottles and stoneware.
And finally, Dan Cooper for all your gardenware essentials.
There'll be refreshments available throughout the morning and our friends from Halstead Bakery will also have a selection of fresh breads and pastries available too.
We're looking forward to welcoming Laura and The Home Grown Market to Water Lane this summer.
